Josh

I just wanted to brag on my son. Josh is a senior at Claiborne High School. He will graduate on May 23, 2009, as valedictorian. He has been admitted into the University of Tennessee College of Architecture and Design. Only 75 students were admitted into this college for the fall. He also found out this week that he is the recipient of the A.F. Bridges Student Athelete Scholarship for $1,000. I am so proud of him. Go Joshie!!!!!!!

Memories of April

Well, here I am again. I can see how this can become addictive. I have just realized that this is the year of the big 3 - 0 for my special niece that I have been missing so much. Maybe this is why a wave of missing her and not being able to get her out of my mind, has come over me. It is unbelievable to me that this is even possible. To a precious 5 lb. bundle of joy named April Michelle Brock, you have always brought much joy and happiness into my life. I remember when your mom finally decided it was ok to leave you for once. You were about 2 weeks old and I had the honor of staying with you. Of course, this was the time your belly button decided to "fall off". I will never forget it. I saw almost all of your "firsts" April. I was present for every play, ballgame, honors programs, etc., that you experienced in your life. My favorite memories are of you and Ashley coming over to play with my kids. You would play school, church, etc. Maybe this is why I have Victoria entering pharmacy school in the fall and Joshua got accepted to the University of Tennessee, School of Architecture, just this week. He is also going to the the valedictorian of his class on May 23, 2009. Abbey excels also, not just in class but in sports as well. I am truly blessed. I believe that April had something to do with their "brains" in the early years. Thanks April. I love you.

Missing my April Michelle

I really do not spend much time on the computer at home because I am on it all day long at school. But, my wonderful niece, whom I love and adore, has inspired me. I would love to keep up with you, April, and if this is what it takes......here I go. I am not making promises of a daily blog, but I will at least commit to once a week. I so enjoy reading your blogs that I can't even tell you. It brightens my day and inspires me to do better. There are also 3 other people in my life who inspire me to be a better me each and every day. Of course, Victoria, Joshua and Abigail, my life. I have the three most wonderful, awesome children in all of the world. Thank you God for my blessings. More later....
